Cloudlare Workers and related technologies (R2, KV, DO, D1) are part of the Emerging Technology and Incubation group (ETI) which focuses on edge developer technologies.

These roles specifically are for Workers KV where we are building one of the world’s fastest programmable caches at a very large scale - we’re currently in the middle of work to provide a ~10-100x latency reduction and a 60x reduction in write consistency (reading values globally within seconds of a write). Bring your distributed systems experience but also welcoming smart people capable of picking it up.

Your role will be in speccing out new features and performance improvements, engaging with the Discord community, collaborating with the runtime team, expanding the team more, and working with the EM and PM to set overall technical and product direction for the team once I transition my responsibilities to you after you are ramped up.

There’s also plenty of other roles within ETI and the rest of the company (I just happen to work on Workers KV currently). The team, org and company culture overall I find to be fantastic.
