Bright Analytics are seeking a Cloud DevOps Engineer to take ownership of some key components of the Bright Analytics platform and work with the Product Engineering team on strategic projects.

The Cloud DevOps Engineer will report directly to the CTO and will come into the business at a time when we have built a mature platform and are consolidating our software estate to achieve improved reliability, scalability and maintainability.

We are looking for someone with experience in at least some of the following areas:

- Cloud resource maintenance (we use AWS)

- Elasticsearch / Logstash

- Application level project involvement (i.e. e2e testing, horizontal scaling, implementing AWS Lambda etc)

- CI / CD pipelines (we self-host Drone.io with autoscaling)

- Server / application logs

- Configuration management

- Developer experience / onboarding

- Holiday cover for triaging critical application errors and escalating where appropriate. Critical errors are currently pretty rare :)

The Product Engineering team is a lean (aka. small!) distributed team of experienced enthusiasts. We have a chatty Slack channel and thrive on difficult problems and simple solutions :)

£50k - £70k D.O.E.

25 days holiday + bank holidays. 1 extra day for each of the first 5 years of employment.

Flexible home-based working. As long as operational needs are met, we can support flexible schedules and work locations. We get together as a team in London at least once a quarter. Office based working is available in a co-working environment in Vauxhall for anybody who would prefer it.
