AWS C Terraform

Radar Labs | Software Engineers & Technical PMs (infra, platform, data, full-stack, mobile) | Remote US / New York City | Full Time

https://radar.com Radar Labs is a location infrastructure SaaS platform.

We've recently raised our Series C and are a small, but mighty engineering team (9 engineers!). We're based across the US, with an HQ in NYC in Union Square.

There's a ton of opportunity to make an impact and work on a variety of things, as we're a pretty fluid team:

- Infrastructure (e.g. Evaluate our production workloads on ARM64 and build out our AWS stack with Terraform CDK)

- Platform (e.g. Build out abstractions for our product engineers to ingest and compute geo queries at high-scale)

- Data (e.g. Process, deduplicate, and evaluate 10s of millions of POIs from a variety of vendors and open data)

- Mobile (e.g. building a control system that automatically configures optimizing battery-life and location accuracy for different use-cases over time)

- Product (e.g. build tools to visualize and debug location data at scale)

We power location experiences for over 100M devices, serving over 10k QPS of geo queries. The numbers are growing day-by-day!

WunderGraph | Full Stack Engineers | REMOTE (United States, Canada, and Europe), FULL-TIME | https://solstice-ambulance-1e7.notion.site/senior-fullstack-...

A common problem that you're faced with when building web applications is that each application requires a unique composition of internal and external APIs, databases, file storages and authentication providers. Once you've created such a composition, it needs to be enriched with business logic and data transformations using Middleware functions.

Companies keep inventing their own solutions to this problem, the most famous one is based on the BFF pattern (Backend for Frontend), where you create a specific backend for each individual frontend. But even with the BFF pattern, the flow is still not standardized, so companies are re-inventing the wheel over and over again.

WunderGraph set sail to solve this problem. We're building on open standards, like GraphQL, REST, OpenAPI OpenID Connect, OAuth2, AsyncAPI and more to create a standardized approach to creating API Compositions and Integrations.

Meliora Therapeutics is leveraging modern biology and machine learning to create a step change in the efficiency of cancer drug development. In short, the vast majority of cancer drugs fail in clinical trials, and off-target effects are often to blame. We're using sophisticated genomic and machine learning techniques to accurately characterize how drugs affect cells and thereby to develop new drugs more efficiently. Our platform has already surfaced a number of interesting candidate drugs with promising laboratory validation and we are just getting started.

Our founding team has strong experience in software, machine learning, and biology developed through experience at Google, Verily, Benchling, and the Yale School of Medicine to complement advanced degrees from universities such as MIT, Princeton, and UPenn. We are moving with urgency to capitalize on the opportunity ahead of us, and are fresh off a seed round financing. We are backed by leading funds who were early investors in world class companies such as Gilead, Recursion, Insitro, Benchling, and others.

C++ Python

Oil Shell | C++ / Python Language Engineer | Remote, Flexible, Open Source, Europe preferred | https://oilshell.org

I have a slightly unusual job funded by a grant under https://nlnet.nl ! They prefer to pay Europeans, although it's not set in stone, so feel free to contact me if it's otherwise a fit. Everything about the job is flexible -- think of it as an open source project where you happen to get paid for specialized skill.

The job is to work on a garbage-collected language runtime and OS bindings in C++. This is the foundation of an open source shell. Most of the project's code is written in statically typed Python, and this is the "unsafe core".

There is also related work on a Python translator/compiler in Python.

I found one person through Hacker News in June (Jesse), which is working great, but we can use more help. The good news is that this process has made the code more accessible, cleaner, and open to contribution (updated docs, cleaned up the build system, CI, etc.)

Everything about the project is open, so please take a look and contact me at Email is hidden if interested. We can chat online or do a video call (I'm based in the USA). We can also arrange a code walkthrough or PAID "trial period". We want people who will have fun working on these problems.
