We're looking for someone who has:

• Experience building cloud-based web apps in C# or React. • Experience as a generalist working on both the frontend, backend, and anything it takes to solve problems and delight users. • Pride in working on projects to successful completion involving a wide variety of technologies and systems. • The ability to stitch together many different services and processes together even if they have not worked with them before. • Empathy with their users and are stewards of crafting great experiences. • Skills for upholding best practices in engineering, security, and design. We try to make our technical interview process very practical and fair. We want to understand your skills and get a sense of what it's like to work together. For example, we don't use LeetCode, whiteboarding, ask you to recite an algorithms, etc.

Annex Market and its counterpart, Annex Distribution, were founded at the close of 2019. We’re building bridges to market for local food, and boast a sizable portfolio of both Makers & Retailers that continues to grow rapidly. Our platform spans eCommerce channels, a delivery/logistics network, and at least one customer-facing SaaS product.

These are a fully remote positions; our small distributed team of developers works from anywhere. We write ES6+ JavaScript (TS for new projects) and use Babel / Webpack to compile/transpile to our deploy targets. React components for front-end, and often using the Next.js framework & Node.js on AWS for backend services. Organization-wise, we run a light version of SCRUM which is becoming more codified over time. Our issue tracker and product backlog is regularly-refined.
