We're building a community-collected and community-owned alternative to Google Street View. There's a lot of latent demand for a comprehensive street view dataset that isn't tied to Google (which is a competitor to many of the potential users of street-view data). In the last few years consumer smartphones have gotten good enough to make them a viable means of collection, so we'll be relying on a community of "reality miners" to gather the imagery.

The project uses cryptocurrency to track the distributed ownership of the dataset and pay out individual collectors when their data is accessed. But unlike many crypto projects which are just dressed-up Ponzi schemes, we have a solid, long-term business model!

Hello, We're starting a "Freelancers Mastermind Group" community.

We enjoy freelancing, remote-working but it comes at a cost of not able to find quality support group and not able to build connections, get introductions, etc.

The community We're planning is the one where high quality developers and designers come together to: 1) support each other get work by sharing opportunities, 2) help each other improve their portfolio, 3) work together in zoom based virtual co-working, 4) discuss non-work stuff like digital nomad life, local cultures, etc. 1 & 2 are done actively, 3 and 4 can be done bi-weekly or monthly.

It would be free to join, and only requirement is to be active and supportive. Both freelancers, full-time/part-time contractors are invited to join. No subscriptions, no course-selling, no HR bullshit, no spamming. Purely non-profit initiative.

Why I think it can work: I have been doing Backend APIs for one company and now they need their AngularJS app be re-done using ReactJS. I would be more than glad to introduce one of group member to take care of AngularJS/ReactJS part of the work.
