thatDot | Remote | Full Time | https://www.thatdot.com

TL;DR: https://that.re/tldr

We're hiring backend and frontend software engineers.

We have built new capabilities for categorical anomaly detection and streaming graph computation after 6 years of DARPA-funded research on [Transparent Computing](https://www.darpa.mil/program/transparent-computing). Our products are used by major security companies to do real-time behavioral analysis, monitor and triage their alarms, and automate remediation of security threats. We're an early-stage venture backed company, and now is a great time to join!

We believe strongly that each person should get more out of job than just a paycheck. It should be interesting, provide a chance to learn new things, help advance your career, work with amazing and kind people, and be fun! A person ≠ their opinions. We value individual people who know how to disagree with each other productively, and deliberately cultivate a space where learning new things is the goal. Non-traditional backgrounds (i.e. non-CS degrees) are strongly encouraged; philosophy majors wanted!

Tools in our stack:

- Scala: We happily lean toward functional programming and pragmatic use of the powerful type system. - Akka: The Actor model is at the heart of what we do. - Akka Streams: Backpressure is the ideal way to approach streaming data. - React: Beautiful, functional, maintainable. - And the right tool for the job. Indeed | Software Engineers, Product Managers, and Eng Managers | Austin, Seattle, Tokyo, and Remote (US or Canada) | Full-time | https://www.indeed.com/

Hundreds of millions of people use Indeed to find jobs. We crawl job listings from all over the Internet, and some employers post jobs directly on Indeed. You can check out some stories from job seekers here! https://gotajob.indeed.com/

I am part of Indeed Incubator, where we prototype experimental features. Multiple times a year, people across the company pitch new ideas, and some of them are approved for development. A majority of features get shut down, but the successes get acquired by other teams at Indeed.

Virtual Hiring Events allow employers to hire through video interviews.

Through Indeed Certifications, job seekers can learn more about certifications to do certain jobs: https://www.indeed.com/certifications/

Qualia (qualia.com) is a startup making web applications for real estate professionals with a goal of making it easier to buy and sell homes in the US. We just raised our series D, hit over $1B in valuation, and we're growing! We're looking for full-stack software engineers at all levels—no need to have any prior knowledge of the real estate industry.

Our engineering culture is collaborative and friendly, and we make beautiful products that our customers love to use. Qualia engineers work cross-functionally with design, product, and our customer-facing teams to imagine and build new experiences for our growing user base. We're looking for generalists—our engineers do everything from user interface design to data syncing across distributed systems.

Ultimately, we want to make it possible to buy a house completely online. Solving the real estate coordination problem makes for some really fun engineering and design challenges (transactions are incredibly complex).

FullStory about 5 years ago
Golang Google Cloud IOS Objective-C Rust Swift TypeScript

FullStory | Senior Systems Software Engineer (iOS) | Atlanta or REMOTE (USA, Canada, or UK) | https://www.fullstory.com/

FullStory for Mobile Apps is an analytics/session replay framework that records the app's draw calls - omitting anything that is potentially private - then allows the sessions to be analyzed and replayed in our web app. It helps our customers narrow down where their users are getting stuck, and what steps reproduce bugs and edge cases.

We're looking for one more engineer with deep experience in systems programing, debugging, and reverse engineering. iOS experience is also a big plus. Our iOS framework is built with Objective-C and Rust, and then we have internal things built with Swift and other languages.

As one of my co-workers put it:

> Work on state-of-the-art recording of iOS apps to provide a rich, privacy-respecting analytics experience. Reverse engineer iOS frameworks to learn how they work and how they can be used efficiently. Use low level capabilities of the Objective-C runtime to solve problems unique to iOS.

You can also see our team manager's post from a couple of months back for another take on things: https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=24969524

The company as a whole is awesome. My favorite job in my ~15 year career. Smart, humble people. A focus on empathy, clarity, and "bionics" (e.g. automation, but more than just that). Competitive pay[1], and solid benefits (Anthem insurance, Vanguard 401k, PTO, etc.) paired with a great work-life balance. And more than just "remote friendly", FullStory strives to be "remote equal". (We were about 20% remote last year, it's more like 80-90% now.) Check out https://bwamp.me/ for one example of that.

Please apply at https://boards.greenhouse.io/fullstory/jobs/4918319002?gh_sr...

We also have quite a few other roles open in IT, Design, Finance, Legal, Marketing, Recruiting, Engineering (Backend: Golang, FullStack: Go + TypeScript, SRE: GCP), Product Management, and Sales. See https://boards.greenhouse.io/fullstory?t=cf0d4d232us for the complete list and https://www.fullstory.com/careers/ for some general info.

I'm one of the engineers on the mobile team - if you have any question, feel free to comment here or email me directly: nathan@[company site].

[1]: I'm not sure what the pay range is for this role, but I'd guess maybe $170-190k, + ~$10-205k/year of equity.
