We are a small admissions consulting & test prep firm that helps people prepare to apply to competitive undergraduate and MBA programs.

We have a distributed international team in the USA, Spain, Germany, and India, though most of us are American expats working from our head office located in a historic villa in the center of Baarn, near Amsterdam.

We're looking for our first full-time developer to help out with maintaining existing systems and build new software that helps us run the business, serve our clients, and increase our sales.

Our tech stack is Wordpress, Node.js, TypeScript, Ember.js, PostgreSQL, Firebase, BigQuery, etc.

We're ideally looking for:

- 5+ years of professional software dev experience, 2+ years experience with TypeScript or another statically-typed language

- Competence in functional programming (we use fp-ts extensively)

- Interest in online marketing and sales

- A craftsmanlike approach to writing software

* supporting the decision of resizing the Kubernetes clusters on the requirements and factoring in operational cost

* integrating Azure KeyVault & EventHub into our backend services

* introduce PostgreSQL monitoring and support a resizing decision

* analyze and research an issue with a Docker update

The Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) is an important member of SharpSpring’s Systems team. SREs on the team are responsible for ensuring the reliability of the company’s Cloud Infrastructure and SaaS products.

We are looking for a remote SRE (to work in either a EST or MST time zone) that is a skilled sysadmin but who also possesses strong programming abilities. SREs frequently automate routine tasks using programming and routinely write custom Prometheus exporters or other programs to solve operational problems. Additionally, SREs are sometimes required to create hotfixes for the company’s SaSS software while on-call after standard business hours. Moreover, SharpSpring SREs influence architectural decisions and drive architectural changes within the company.

The ideal candidate is self-motivated, possesses excellent communication skills (both oral and written) and is able to work both independently and collaboratively. A keen interest in various aspects of Linux system administration and software development is essential in our multi-disciplinary team.
